Cedar Hollow Families:

Hope everyone had a safe and relaxing cold day!

On Monday, the teachers were lucky to have a day of professional learning at Gretna East. Teachers participated in professional development sessions on a variety of topics led by Gretna Public Schools staff. The day ended with motivational speaker Stephen Mackey talking about impacting others and leading with encouragement. I am proud of many teachers from Cedar Hollow who presented to staff from all over the district.

On Thursday, we celebrated the 100th day of school. It was fun to see many students dressed up and 100 days smarter! We are excited to keep learning and growing this year.

Winter Clothing:

Please make sure students have hats, coats, and gloves this time of year. With the frigid temperatures, we will make every effort to have recess outside when the weather allows. Thank you for your support in this.

Parent/Teacher Conferences:

We are scheduling conferences. Your conference time will be sent home by the end of next week. Conferences will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday February 10th and 11th. We look forward to sharing all of the wonderful things students are learning.

Upcoming Dates/Reminders:

  • January 27 - PTO mtg at 4pm

  • February 5 - Kindergarten Parent Night (New KG Families)

  • February 10 & 11 - Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • February 26 - 2nd Grade Music Program

  • February 27 - Kindergarten Round-Up (No School for current KG students)

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with your family!
