Students at Gretna Elementary had a front-row seat to some real-life learning today. From their classroom windows, they watched construction crews hard at work on the new parking lot. The excitement and curiosity on their faces showed how even everyday moments can spark wonder and learning. #BeGretnaGreat

GES is still accepting Trunk or Treat vehicles as well as candy donations. We are encouraging school families to participate in order to make this event a great success! Plus, it will be a lot of fun and a great way for us to build community and get to know other school families. Thank you for considering!

From our GES PTO: The countdown is on—our Guardian Run is TOMORROW!
🎉
Thanks to the incredible support of 148 donors, we’ve already reached 67% of our $15,000 goal. That’s a huge accomplishment, and we’re so proud of the momentum our community has built. But we’re not done yet!
To fully fund the programs and experiences that make our school so special, we need everyone to pitch in. Whether it’s a donation, sharing the fundraiser with friends and family, or cheering on our runners tomorrow, every contribution helps us get one step closer to the finish line. Even $5 would be wonderful- we would love to have over 200 donors before the Run tomorrow!
Here’s how you can help today:
• Make a donation (if you haven’t already!)
2025 Guardian Run Link
• Share your student’s fundraising page on social media
• Invite grandparents, neighbors, and friends to support
• Attend the run and encourage your runner!
Run times:
Kindergarten and 1st 12:30-1:00 p.m.
2nd and 3rd 1:15-1:45 p.m.
4th and 5th 2:00-2:30 p.m.
Thank you for being part of this amazing GES community. We’ll see you at the starting line!

Mrs. Ricci's kindergarten class has been learning about bugs and insects in art. Yesterday, they took their ideas outside and drew their favorites! Great job, Kindergarteners!
